BreastScreen Victoria is screening with COVID-19 safety measures. We are experiencing high demand for our service and it may take longer than usual to get an appointment. Thank you for your patience.
Due to changes in appointment times, some appointments cannot be booked online.
Please call our Contact Centre on 13 20 50 if you cannot book online.
Clients must wear a fitted face mask at all of our screening clinics unless you are exempt. Please bring a face mask to wear at your appointment. You may be refused a breast screen if you do not have a valid reason for not wearing a mask, and it poses a safety risk to our staff and other clients.
Alert
- If you have any COVID-19 symptoms leading up to your appointment, please reschedule your appointment online or call 13 20 50
If you have any new breast symptoms or changes, please see your doctor as soon as possible. It is currently safe to see your doctor and have a physical examination, and any recommended diagnostic imaging. You can find information on breast cancer symptoms on our website.
If you have an increased risk of breast cancer due to family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer or have had breast cancer in the past, please see your doctor to discuss if it is appropriate for you to wait for your breast screen.
There is evidence the COVID-19 vaccines might cause enlarged lymph nodes in the neck and armpit in a few cases. If you are called back for further tests following your mammogram, we may ask if you have recently had your COVID-19 vaccine.
